james turrell: skyspaces

• the work unfolds in a room or a structure with an aperture cut into the roof
• lights are programmed to flood the underside and/or walls in response to changes in the natural light visible through the aperture
• as the sky transitions from light to dark, the interior lights generate a symphony of hues in the skyspace...
• creating a sensorial experience for those inside
